About weenorth

A platform built around the makers, not the middleman.

weenorth is operated by Silentechs in cooperation with the WEE-North initiative — a programme that trains and supports women artisans across Northern Ghana. Our job is to give those artisans, and others like them across the country, a place online that respects their work.

How we're different

Most marketplaces take a cut of every job or product. We don't. Artisans pay a small annual subscription to keep their profile live; whatever they earn from a buyer goes entirely to them.

How verification works

When an artisan signs up, our team reviews their submission together with WEE-North partners. Profiles only go live after that human review. If something looks off — a fake portfolio, missing documentation, suspicious activity — we say no.

What we're building toward

A platform where a buyer in Accra (or Berlin) can find a master weaver in Tamale, read her story, see her work, and contact her directly — and where she keeps every cedi the work earns.
